OUR RITE
A Rite is an initiatory structure which aims to help the Freemason to develop on all levels (moral, social and above all spiritual). It facilitates gradual learning using symbols and rituals.
There are several rites, each with its specificities.
We practice the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite (R.E.A.A.), the most widespread rite currently in the world.
In its current form, this rite was constituted in 1801 in Charleston according to the Great Constitution.
This rite retains the imprint of several influences, containing elements of Symbolism, Hermeticism, Alchemy, Pythagoreanism, Templar and Rosicrucian traditions, those of the cathedral builders, etc. This polymorphism leaves a great freedom of interpretation, develops an adogmatic and personal spirituality.
This rite has several degrees. The first 3 degrees are: Apprentice, Companion and Master Mason.
