Initially women were not admitted into Freemasonry, due to the social concept of the time which considered that women were not free beings.
In today’s society, the status of women has regained its natural rights and its recognition. Consequently, today there are strictly male lodges, strictly female lodges and mixed lodges, depending on the choice of each organization.
The GLSD adheres to a mixed Freemasonry, according to the principle of equality of all human beings.
